Sirenis Seaview Quick Facts

Sirenis Seaview is in Port des Torrent, at the western end of San Antonio Bay, and is particularly suited to family and multi-generational holidays.

Port des Torrent beach is around a 3-minute walk away. Inside the resort, don't miss the separate infinity pool with its beautiful sea views, as well as the water park, climbing and adventure areas, football, sports, clubs and organised activities.

A supermarket is directly opposite the hotel, along with a doctor if somebody needs medical attention during the holiday. The nearest pharmacy is approximately a 10-minute walk away, heading further into San Antonio Bay.

You can travel into San Antonio by road or, during the summer season, take the water taxi from Port des Torrent.

Massage Beach Ibiza provides poolside massages, facials, manicures and pedicures at the hotel.

And our biggest tip before we go any further?

Book the things you really want to do early.

That applies to popular children's activities, speciality restaurants where reservations are required, excursions and your massage or beauty treatments. Leaving everything until halfway through the holiday can mean the best times have already gone.

Your First Afternoon at Sirenis Seaview – What We'd Do

After travelling to Ibiza with children, the last thing we'd recommend doing is immediately planning another excursion.

You've dealt with the airport, the flight, luggage, transfer, check-in and unpacking.

Stay at the hotel.

Your first afternoon is the perfect time to explore the resort properly so that you understand what's available for the rest of your holiday.

Don't simply put your towels beside the first swimming pool you see and stay there.

Go for a wander.

Find the water park. Discover the infinity pool. Show the children where the climbing, football and activity areas are. Find out where the clubs and organised activities take place.

If you've booked through TUI, open the TUI app and look at what's available during your stay. Football, clubs, classes and other popular activities can fill up, particularly during the school holidays, so reserve anything the children really want to do as early as possible.

If you've booked through somebody else, ask reception or your holiday representative how activity reservations work for your booking.

Check the entertainment programme at the same time so you know when the mermaids and any other shows your family wants to see are taking place.

If speciality restaurant visits are included with your holiday, find out how those reservations work too and book the nights you want.

We'd also take the short walk towards Port des Torrent beach, even if you don't stay there. It means you know exactly where you're going when you decide to have a beach morning later in the week.

Finally, decide when you are going to relax.

If you'd like a massage, facial, manicure or pedicure, have a look at availability early rather than waiting until your final couple of days.

You can even view treatments and book your Sirenis Seaview appointment before you travel.

If you'd like your nails looking lovely throughout the holiday, book them near the beginning. Alternatively, make the appointment towards the end if you'd prefer them freshly done before you go home.

Then stop organising.

Get a drink, find somewhere comfortable and enjoy being in Ibiza.

Find the Infinity Pool

This is one of our biggest Sirenis Seaview tips.

Most families naturally find the main swimming pool first. It's where much of the action happens and, with children, it's very easy to settle there every day.

But make sure you explore further.

There's also a separate infinity pool overlooking the sea, and the views are fantastic.

It's beautiful and feels quite different from the main pool area. Even if your children ultimately decide that the water park and main swimming pool are where they want to spend most of their time, we'd still make sure you discover the infinity pool at the beginning of the holiday.

It's exactly the sort of place people can miss for several days simply because the resort has so much going on.

Don't discover it on your final afternoon and wish you'd been using it all week.

Make Proper Use of the Sirenis Water Park

If you're travelling with children, the water park is likely to become one of the highlights of the holiday.

There are slides and water areas for different ages, and it's one of the reasons you genuinely don't need to plan an excursion every day at Sirenis Seaview.

We'd go fairly early in the holiday.

That lets the children discover which areas and slides they like, and it gives you an easy option to return to whenever you've got a few hours with nothing else planned.

It's also worth checking the restrictions on the larger slides before promising younger children that they'll be able to go on a particular one.

One of the real advantages of this hotel is that staying at the resort for the day doesn't feel like wasting a day in Ibiza.

Sometimes it's exactly what you should do.

Book Football, Climbing, Clubs and Activities Early

This deserves its own section because it's something we'd genuinely want somebody to tell us before travelling.

There's a lot going on at Sirenis Seaview.

Depending on the programme during your stay, children can have football, climbing and adventure activities, sports, clubs, classes and other organised entertainment to choose from.

Some of these need to be booked.

So don't wait until day four before properly looking at the programme.

If you're travelling with TUI, check the app as soon as you arrive and speak to the reps if there's anything you don't understand. If you've booked another way, check with reception or your representative about what's available to you and how reservations work.

If your child has their heart set on football, climbing or another particular activity, get it booked.

Then plan the rest of the week around it.

It sounds obvious, but it can make a big difference during busy school-holiday weeks.

Don't Miss the Mermaid Show

One of the more unusual family experiences at Sirenis Seaview is the mermaid show near the infinity-pool area.

It's particularly lovely for younger children and definitely worth knowing about before you arrive.

The mermaids have commonly appeared on a Monday, but entertainment programmes can change during the summer and between seasons, so we wouldn't plan around a fixed schedule you've found online.

Instead, when you arrive, simply ask your rep:

“When are the mermaids on this week?”

Then put it in your diary.

It's exactly the sort of thing that's easy to miss if you don't know it exists.

Walk to Port des Torrent Beach

When you fancy swapping the swimming pool for the sea, Port des Torrent beach is around a 3-minute walk from Sirenis Seaview.

It's a sheltered sandy cove and works particularly well for families.

The other advantage is that you don't have to turn it into an enormous beach expedition.

Walk down after breakfast, spend a couple of hours swimming, hire a pedalo or try one of the seasonal watersports if you fancy it, have a drink and walk back to the hotel whenever everyone has had enough.

That's one of the things we like most about staying near Port des Torrent.

Going to the beach doesn't require loading everybody into a hire car, finding parking and committing an entire day to it.

Take a Snorkel at Port des Torrent

We're big fans of snorkelling, and we'd definitely pack a mask and snorkel for Port des Torrent.

Most people naturally swim over the sandy centre of the bay.

If you're confident in the water, we'd explore closer to the rockier sides of the cove instead.

Once you're away from the sand being disturbed by swimmers, the visibility can be better and you'll often find small fish around the rocks.

It doesn't cost anything, requires hardly any planning and can keep children – and adults – entertained for ages.

As always, supervise children closely, keep an eye on boats and sea conditions and don't swim beyond anybody's ability.

Before You Go to the Beach, Check Medusas Ibiza

One app we genuinely recommend downloading for an Ibiza holiday is Medusas Ibiza.

“Medusa” is Spanish for jellyfish, and we use the app ourselves before heading to the beach.

It lets you check beaches around Ibiza to see whether jellyfish have recently been reported and gives you an idea of whether they’re likely to be around before you choose where to spend the day.

If you spot jellyfish yourself, you can report the sighting in the app too, which helps other people heading to the same beach.

It’s particularly useful if you're planning a beach day at Port des Torrent, Cala Bassa or anywhere else around the island. A beach can be completely clear one day and have jellyfish the next, so we normally give the app a quick check before setting off.

It only takes a minute and can save you arriving at a beach, getting everyone settled and then discovering nobody wants to go in the water.

Search for “Medusas Ibiza” in the App Store or Google Play before your holiday.

Have a Family Day at Bam-Bu-Ku

If you'd like to experience some of Ibiza's famous pool-and-music atmosphere but you're travelling with children, Bam-Bu-Ku is worth looking at.

Their family-focused events are designed so that parents and children can enjoy the day together, combining the pool with music, entertainment, food and activities.

It's a good way of experiencing something that feels distinctly Ibiza without trying to take children into an adult beach club.

Look out for their family events such as El Kiddo, but check the current calendar before choosing your day because the programme can change during the summer.

During school holidays, we'd book rather than assume you'll be able to turn up.

Take the Water Taxi into San Antonio

One of the nicest ways to visit San Antonio from Sirenis Seaview is to walk down towards Port des Torrent and take the seasonal water taxi across the bay.

With children, getting there suddenly becomes part of the day out.

Instead of sitting in another car or bus, you're on a boat with the breeze, looking back across San Antonio Bay.

The crossing takes you into San Antonio, where you can explore the harbour, wander around the town, have lunch or simply get an ice cream before heading back.

The service operates seasonally and departure times and fares can change, so check the current timetable before setting out – particularly the time of the final boat you want to catch home.

If you haven't hired a car, it's a particularly useful option.

Have Breakfast or Lunch at Rita's Cantina

If you're spending time around San Antonio harbour, Rita's Cantina is one of our favourite recommendations.

It's been popular with locals and visitors for years and works particularly well for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

There are good coffees, fresh juices and plenty of food choices in a relaxed atmosphere that doesn't feel difficult with children.

It’s also a nice opportunity to try somewhere different for breakfast or lunch while you’re spending time in San Antonio.

You don't need to overcomplicate the day.

Take the boat into San Antonio, have breakfast or lunch at Rita's, wander around the harbour and shops, have an ice cream and take the boat back.

Sometimes the easiest days are the best ones.

Go Shopping in Ibiza Town

If you want a proper shopping trip while you're on holiday, we'd choose Ibiza Town rather than San Antonio.

San Antonio is perfectly good for holiday essentials, souvenirs and a wander around, but Ibiza Town has the better concentration of main shops, fashion stores and independent boutiques.

The best thing is that you can combine the shopping with Dalt Vila rather than making a separate journey.

Shop first and then head into the old town for the afternoon or evening – or do it the other way round if the weather is hot.

Explore Ibiza Town and Dalt Vila

Even if you've booked Ibiza primarily for the pool and beach, we'd recommend seeing Ibiza Town and Dalt Vila at least once.

Dalt Vila is Ibiza's historic fortified old town, sitting high above the marina.

Walk through the old entrance and follow the cobbled streets uphill. You'll find narrow lanes, restaurants, historic buildings and viewpoints along the way, with fantastic views across the port and Ibiza Town from higher up.

One practical tip: wear decent shoes.

Dalt Vila involves hills, steps and polished cobbles. Trying to explore it in slippery flip-flops isn't particularly enjoyable.

Once you've seen the old town, head back down towards the marina and shopping streets.

It's a completely different side of Ibiza from San Antonio Bay and gives children a chance to see that the island isn't just swimming pools, beaches and hotels.

How to Get from Sirenis Seaview to Ibiza Town Without a Car

You don't need a hire car to visit Ibiza Town.

A straightforward public-transport option is to take a local bus towards San Antonio, then change at San Antonio's bus station for a service to Ibiza Town.

Routes and timetables can change through the summer, so we'd ask reception or your holiday rep for the current information before setting off rather than relying on an old timetable saved online.

Another option is to take the water taxi into San Antonio first and continue by bus from there, turning the journey into part of the day.

If you're travelling as a larger family, it's also worth comparing a taxi. Sometimes the additional convenience – particularly with tired younger children at the end of the day – is worth the extra cost.

Either way, don't rush Ibiza Town.

Give yourself at least a good half-day to explore properly.

If You Fancy Eating Out: El Gallo Viejo – The Old Cock

The food at Sirenis Seaview is excellent, but if you fancy eating out one evening and trying somewhere local, El Gallo Viejo, also known as The Old Cock, would be our nearby recommendation.

It's in the Port des Torrent area, just a short walk from the hotel, and is a long-established restaurant that's well worth visiting if you'd like a change of scenery for an evening.

It's particularly good for grilled meats, fresh fish, rice dishes and paella, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it an easy choice for a family meal.

If we were staying at Sirenis Seaview and wanted to eat out somewhere close to the hotel, this is where we'd go.

During the busiest summer weeks, we'd recommend reserving a table rather than simply turning up.

Watch the Sunset at Kumharas

For an easy sunset evening from Sirenis Seaview, we'd head towards Kumharas.

It overlooks San Antonio Bay and combines food, cocktails, music and a laid-back Ibiza atmosphere.

For families, we think it's a particularly good introduction to the Ibiza sunset experience.

You don't necessarily have to turn it into a big, expensive evening. Go down with plenty of time before sunset, have a drink or something to eat and enjoy the atmosphere as the light changes across the bay.

Don't arrive five minutes before the sun disappears.

Part of the enjoyment is the hour beforehand, when everybody settles in and the evening starts to build.

Experience Café Mambo and Café del Mar Without Needing an Expensive Table

If you've never experienced the San Antonio Sunset Strip, we'd still do it once.

Café Mambo and Café del Mar are two names synonymous with Ibiza sunsets, and during the summer this part of San Antonio attracts visitors from all over the world.

You can absolutely reserve a table if you want to make a special evening of it.

But you don't have to.

The public waterfront runs in front of the venues, and plenty of people simply find a suitable spot on the rocks along the seafront.

Pick up a drink or an ice cream, sit down and enjoy the sunset.

You'll still hear the music, see the crowds gather and experience the atmosphere that makes this part of San Antonio famous.

With older children or teenagers in particular, it's an easy way to let them experience a little of the Ibiza they've probably heard so much about without turning it into a nightclub night.

Take a Boat Trip from San Antonio

If your family enjoys being on the water, San Antonio is one of the easiest places on the island to organise a boat trip.

Your holiday reps may be able to arrange excursions directly, which is convenient if you'd rather have everything sorted for you.

Alternatively, once you're in San Antonio harbour you'll find plenty of different trips to choose from, ranging from relatively short coastal sightseeing trips to beach excursions and longer days on the water.

With children, we'd choose the duration carefully.

A two- or three-hour trip can be brilliant.

An eight-hour boat excursion with a child who announced after the first 45 minutes that they're bored can feel considerably longer.

Choose the trip that actually suits your family, rather than simply booking the biggest excursion in the brochure.

Visit Cala Bassa – Even If You Haven't Hired a Car

If you'd like one beach day somewhere other than Port des Torrent, Cala Bassa is a great option.

It's one of Ibiza's best-known west-coast beaches, with clear turquoise water on a good day and plenty of beautiful coastline around it.

A hire car makes getting there straightforward, but you don't necessarily need one.

During the summer, seasonal boats connect the San Antonio area with Cala Bassa, so you can turn the journey itself into part of the day.

If you're visiting in July or August, we'd favour an earlier start rather than arriving in the middle of the busiest part of the afternoon.

And if you're travelling by boat, always check the final return sailing before settling down for the day.

Visit Cap Blanc Aquarium

For something completely different, particularly with younger children, try Aquarium Cap Blanc near San Antonio.

The aquarium is built inside a natural sea cave and focuses on marine life from around Ibiza and the Mediterranean.

Don't go expecting a giant aquarium that takes six hours to explore.

That's not what it is.

It's small, unusual and easy to combine with another trip around San Antonio.

Children who've been snorkelling at Port des Torrent may especially enjoy seeing some of the creatures that live in the waters around the island.

It's also a useful option for a cloudy morning.

Opening arrangements can vary through the season, so check the current information before making a special journey.

Supermarket, Doctor and Pharmacy Near Sirenis Seaview

Here's one of the least glamorous but most useful tips in this whole guide.

There's a supermarket directly opposite Sirenis Seaview, effectively part of the immediate hotel area.

So if you've forgotten sun cream, need more water, want snacks for the room, run out of nappies or suddenly realise you've forgotten something basic, you don't need to travel into San Antonio.

There's also a doctor directly opposite the hotel, which is very useful to know if anybody becomes unwell during the holiday and needs to be seen.

The pharmacy isn't directly opposite. It's approximately a 10-minute walk away, heading further into San Antonio Bay, so it's still easily reachable.

Hopefully you'll never need the doctor or pharmacy.

But when you're travelling with children, knowing where they are before you need them is always a good idea.

What to Do at Sirenis Seaview if the Weather Isn't Great

Ibiza normally gives us plenty of sunshine during the summer, but cloudy and rainy days do happen.

Don't automatically write the day off.

In fact, some things are considerably more comfortable when it isn't 32°C.

A cooler day is a great opportunity to visit Ibiza Town and explore Dalt Vila, go shopping, visit Cap Blanc Aquarium, have a long lunch at El Gallo Viejo or Rita's Cantina, or see what activities are running inside the hotel.

It's also a very good excuse to have a treatment.

You could book a massage, enjoy a facial or get your manicure or pedicure done ready for the rest of the holiday.

Sometimes the day that wasn't supposed to be a pool day turns into one of the nicest days of the week.

Why Coral Star Is a Good Base for Exploring San Antonio Bay

One of Coral Star's biggest advantages is its location.

You're away from the busiest part of central San Antonio, but you're still close enough to enjoy its marina, famous Sunset Strip and nightlife whenever you want it.

Closer to the hotel, you'll find beaches, restaurants, coastal walks and sunset spots that are easy to enjoy without spending half your holiday in taxis.

Port des Torrent is particularly convenient. Coral Star's own hotel information places the beach at approximately 0.6 km away, so it's easy to swap the pool for the sea whenever you fancy a change.

Walk to Port des Torrent Beach

If you're looking for an easy beach day without organising transport, head to Port des Torrent.

It's a sheltered sandy cove with a much more relaxed feel than some of Ibiza's larger beaches. The bay works particularly well for families, but it's equally pleasant if you simply want somewhere to swim, relax and have a change from the hotel pool.

During the summer you'll usually find pedalos and other watersports available around the beach, so you can make the visit as active or as lazy as you like.

If you've brought a snorkel, it's worth exploring around the rocky edges of the bay as well. The water around the rocks can be clearer than directly over the sand and you'll often see plenty of small fish.

Sometimes the best holiday days are the easiest ones, and a morning at Port des Torrent followed by a relaxed afternoon back at Coral Star is difficult to beat.

Walk Along the Coast Towards San Antonio

If you enjoy walking, don't assume you need transport every time you want to explore San Antonio Bay.

You can follow much of the coastline towards San Antonio on foot, passing small beaches, sea views and plenty of places to stop for coffee, lunch or a drink along the way.

You don't have to walk the entire route. Even exploring part of it is a lovely way to see more of the bay.

One practical tip if you're travelling with young children: the whole route isn't completely pushchair-friendly. There are sections where you may need to join the road briefly, so we'd recommend it more as a proper walk than a continuous seafront buggy route.

Visit Kumharas for Sunset

If you'd like somewhere close by for an Ibiza sunset, Kumharas is one of our favourite recommendations.

Situated in Cala de Bou overlooking San Antonio Bay, it combines sunset views with cocktails, food, music and a relaxed bohemian atmosphere. It's popular with locals as well as visitors and works just as well for couples as it does for families.

We'd recommend arriving before sunset rather than turning up at the last minute. Find somewhere comfortable, order a drink and enjoy the atmosphere as the light changes across the bay.

It's a much easier evening from Coral Star than travelling across the island purely to see the sunset.

Take the Water Taxi into San Antonio

One of our favourite ways to reach San Antonio is by boat rather than by road.

The seasonal water taxi operates across San Antonio Bay, with stops including Port des Torrent and the area around Hotel Amàre / Playa Bella, before connecting with San Antonio. The current operator lists a daily Port des Torrent service during the season, although times and fares can change, so check the latest information before you travel.

For children, the boat journey itself can become part of the day.

Instead of sitting in a taxi, you're out on the water looking back across San Antonio Bay, and when you arrive you're already in a great position to explore the marina and town.

If you're staying at Coral Star without hiring a car, this is one of the most useful things to know.

Stop at El Pan de Lexa for a Croissant or Cake

Once you're in San Antonio, one place we'd genuinely recommend seeking out is El Pan de Lexa.

It's a small French-style artisan bakery with its own workshop, producing croissants, pastries, breads, fruit tarts, éclairs, quiches and cakes.

It's not the sort of place most package-holiday visitors automatically discover, which is exactly why we've included it.

If you appreciate a proper croissant, good bread or just want to pick up something sweet while you're exploring San Antonio, it's well worth the detour.

Try Cool Café for Breakfast

Another breakfast recommendation we regularly give is Cool Café in Cala de Bou.

It's known for breakfasts, healthy dishes, juices and good coffee, with a relaxed terrace atmosphere.

If you've been eating breakfast at the hotel every morning and fancy a change, this is the sort of place where you can take your time over coffee and start the day at a slower pace.

Don't Miss Dodò Gelato

If you like ice cream, make a note of Dodò Gelato.

It's an artisan gelateria in the San Antonio Bay area and one of those places locals will happily make a detour for. The ice cream is made in-house, with a rotating selection of flavours that goes well beyond the usual tourist-resort choices.

Our advice is simple: if you're nearby, go.

Holiday ice cream doesn't need to be complicated.

Escape the Hotel for a Meal at Relish

Hotel dining is convenient, but after several days it's sometimes nice to eat somewhere completely different.

Relish Restaurant & Pool Bar is a good local option in San Antonio Bay, with a broad international menu alongside burgers, steaks and its particularly popular Sunday roast. Their own current menu recommends booking the Sunday roast in advance.

It's especially useful if someone in your group fancies familiar food or simply wants a relaxed meal away from the hotel.

Experience the Famous San Antonio Sunset Strip

Even if you're not coming to Ibiza for the nightlife, we'd recommend experiencing the Sunset Strip at least once.

Café Mambo and Café del Mar are two of Ibiza's best-known sunset venues, and Café Mambo continues to host sunset sessions and visiting DJs throughout the summer.

You can, of course, book a table and make an evening of it.

But you don't have to.

One of the easiest ways to enjoy the atmosphere on a smaller budget is to find a spot along the waterfront rocks nearby, take some drinks or snacks with you where appropriate, and watch the sunset from there.

You'll still experience the atmosphere of the Sunset Strip and hear the music carrying across from the bars without needing to commit to a sunset table or minimum spend.

If you do choose to book Café Mambo itself, be aware that its sunset tables currently operate with minimum spends after 6pm, so check the current arrangements when booking. citeturn985487search25

Things to Do Near Coral Star Without Hiring a Car

One of the useful things about staying at Coral Star is that you can have a surprisingly varied holiday without renting a car.

You could spend a morning at Port des Torrent, walk along part of San Antonio Bay, catch the water taxi into town, stop at El Pan de Lexa, pick up an ice cream from Dodò Gelato, enjoy sunset at Kumharas and still have plenty of time to relax at the hotel.

If you do hire a car for a day, Cala Bassa and Cala Comte are two west-coast beaches we'd put high on the list.

But don't feel as though you need to spend your whole holiday driving around Ibiza.

There's plenty close to Coral Star to keep you busy.

Even in Ibiza, not every day is guaranteed to be perfect beach weather.

If you wake up to clouds, use it as an excuse to do something different.

Take the water taxi into San Antonio and explore the town. Have a long breakfast at Cool Café. Pick up something from El Pan de Lexa. Browse the shops and marina. Or take advantage of the cooler weather to walk more of the coastline.

A full-face snorkel is particularly good here, making it easy to spend longer exploring the rocky shoreline.

You'll often see shoals of fish swimming around the rocks and, if you're lucky, you might even spot an octopus hiding beneath them.

For guests who enjoy swimming for fitness, there's also a marked swimming channel across the bay in this area, making it easy to enjoy some open-water exercise while you're on holiday.

Visit Es Cucó Like a Local

Here's one of those places that many visitors drive straight past without realising what they're missing.

Leave the hotel, turn left and walk up the hill.

On your right you'll find Supermercado Es Cucó.

It's far more than just a supermarket.

It's a great place to stock up.

One of our favourite ways to visit San Antonio isn't by bus or taxi.

It's by boat.

You'll enjoy fantastic views back towards the coastline before arriving directly at San Antonio Marina.

From there you can explore the promenade, browse the shops or simply enjoy watching the boats coming and going.

It's a relaxing afternoon that feels very different from travelling by road.

If you've taken the water taxi into San Antonio, we'd highly recommend stopping at Rita's Canteen.

It's one of the area's best-known breakfast and coffee spots, overlooking the marina.
