Looking after your skin

key stages of Skincare

Adopting a regular and thorough skincare routine is essential in maintaining healthy skin. Massage Beach Ibiza provides an insight into the key stages of a skincare routine.

The stages shouldn’t be a chore and should only take a few minutes of your day.

Try different products and experiment. Everyone’s skin is different, what works on you will not necessarily be suitable for someone else.

Cleanse

The first step in our skin care routine should be cleansing. Cleansing our skin AM and PM is essential for removing dirt, debris, excess oil and makeup. All of these can become trapped in our pores and lead to skin conditions such as congestion, acne, sensitivity and irritation.

Exfoliate

What type of exfoliation and how often we exfoliate really depends on the individual skins needs. We recommend a non-abrasive exfoliant for sensitive skin, something that’s very gentle but will help dissolve dead cell build up by breaking down the sebum in the skin. Alternatively, a more physical exfoliant like Eve Taylor London Exfoliating Scrub, suitable for normal to oily skin.

For more sensitive skins we recommend to exfoliate 1-2 times per week while a more oily/ congested or mature skin may need to exfoliate every day.

Tone

Before applying moisturiser spritz your face with a toner. A toner can help restore your skins PH balance, shrink pores, hydrate, refreshes and adds a layer of protection.

Moisturise

It is vitally important the skin is hydrated. You should be moisturising AM and PM using a skin type appropriate moisturiser.

SPF

You should always wear SPF protection, even on a cloudy day! UV rays can cause cancer and is also the main cause of ageing. Add an SPF into your daily routine for the ultimate anti-aging product!
